With the passing of Charlie Kirk and the movement that has started across the world, we at GSBC feel led to start a Youth program, starting on Wednesday November 12th, 2025, from 6-8pm at Golden Shores Community Baptist Church fellowship hall, we will be providing a Bible Study for the youth from 7th thru 12th grade. We believe the age group mentioned are at a vulnerable time in their lives and need a safe place to go and hear the Word of God.
At this bible study we will be offering food, games, movies and Christian fellowship in a safe environment, all are welcome. Help us keep the candle burning. This September 11th let’s show we did not forget, and we are proud to live in the best country in the world by flying our American flag.
It looks like we are going to have a new RV parking in the Spring of 2026 according to the DWEL Lake Havasu website. There was a little confusion because the name says Lake Havasu, but the construction is happening in Topock. They clarified that the name is because of the proximity of Lake Havasu, so it is considered Lake Havasu area.
Golden Shores Deli is finally open! Cristi Tutty worked very hard with her family to serve our community with delicious sandwiches and fresh produce. It is located at 5031 E Powell Lake Rd , Topock, AZ.

On a sad note, this year will be the 24th anniversary of the attack by terrorists in New York. Unfortunately, many have forgotten the events that took place on September 11th, 2001, but several of us will never forget.

School Meeting Regarding Merging with Mohave Valley School District.
This is a hot issue in our town at this moment. This is a very small summary of what was talked about in the last meeting according to our sources:
The meeting was to discuss the option of merging with the Mohave Valley School District
It would take 1-2 years (maybe even 3) to complete the move.
Will take a vote to approve it.
An approval means the Topock school tax will be cancelled, and we would pay the tax of the new district.
This move will bring in more kids because some of the Mohave Valley kids live closer to Topock than they do to their current school (we have 67 expected to return for fall, but that amount may be less).
Our school currently has a “D” rating – the merge will bring our rating up to an “A” like the rest of the district and this will probably take time.
The residents should be writing letters to the Mohave County Board of Supervisors to get the tax issue on the agenda for the next meeting in Kingman on 8/4/25.
